Recent Tastings

This past weekend, Mrs. Wine with Dinner and I attended the Washington Wine Academy‘s Great Wines for Under $15 Event. Aside from being a bit too crowded, it was a fun time. We tasted man, many affordable wines. While note-taking opportunities were limited, I was able to write down the following names that we enjoyed. Most of these can be found online or at your local discount wine shop.

2004 Marola Emporda Costa Brava, 3 Stars.
Little Black Dress Chardonnay, 3 Stars, $9.99.
Firestone 2006 Gewurztraminer, 3 Stars, $11.99.
Cellar No. 8 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon, 4 Stars, $9.99.
Lois Jadot 2005 Beaujolais-Villages, 3 Stars 1/2, $11.99.
Yalumba 2006 Viognier, 3 Stars, $9.99.
Nobilo 2006 Sauvignon Blanc, 3 Stars 1/2, $10.99.
Chimney Creek 2006 Sauvignon Blanc, 3 Stars, $9.99.
