Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays from Wine with Dinner! After a forced absence from the wine world due to the burdens of my day job, Wine with Dinner is preparing for a whirlwind wine experience. Mrs. Wine with Dinner and I will be taking our delayed honeymoon after the holiday, including a 1-2 day stop in Sonoma/Napa followed by two weeks in the “New World” wine country of New Zealand! I will be sure to share some of our better tastings with you right here, so stay tuned.

I would also like to note the most recent addition to Wine with Dinner, the Spread the Word link on the right side of the page. This link will take you to Wine with Dinner’s CafePress store, where you can purchase merchandise and help spread the word about the site.

Finally, as I have come to accept that the demands of my day job will not allow me to do as many reviews as I would like, I will, starting today, occasionally post my “Recent Tastings.” These will just be quick notes about wines I have recently enjoyed. For example:

Concannon 2005 Pinot Gris, Central Coast California: Fruit forward and fun, 4 Stars, $13.99 per bottle.

Georges Duboeuf 2006 Beaujolais Nouveau, Burgundy, France: Banana nose with a fruity bubblegum flavor, 4 Stars, $11.99 per bottle.

Burnley Vineyards 2005 Norton, Virginia: Dry, with a fruity oak aroma and blueberry and cherry notes, 3 Stars, $15.00 per bottle.
