An iPhone app for wine? Check. I wonder what their criteria are for recommending specific wines, but the varietal suggestions could certainly be useful if you need a quick judge’s ruling . . . and you can’t check here, of course.

You’re right, when I’m sitting in loud wine bar I don’t have time to be messing with my apps!
. That’s the one knock I have on almost all of them is that they don’t work that well in exactly the situations I need them – loud fast paced environments where you don’t want your date to “Catch You Checking the iPhone”
If you’re interested in finding more wine apps, the one I use the most is one called Cellar Rat. It works in a quickly and you usually get some info. It also uses emoticons so if my date does catch me, I just show him the app and he’s, “Cute!”
